This Dallas client has been hiring throughout 2009, adding staff to various parts of its organization. Now they want to hire a Senior Tivoli Storage Management (TSM) Administrator. We have been asked to seek out and search for an experienced, dedicated TSM Administrator how has experience in the analysis, design, development, procurement, installation, and maintenance of the TSM Infrastructure.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Closely monitors the performance of specific computer/communications network components to ensure system availability and to verify smooth system operations.
• May act as project leader to develop, program, implement, and maintain an operating system.
• Responsible for project quality.
• Monitors and maintains specified systems before users have problems.
• Defines and implements backup and recovery procedures. Conducts performance tests as necessary.
• Identifies system problems, documents, resolves, and communicates solutions to users.
• Revises existing systems and procedures to correct problems and maintains effective data handling, conversion and storage.
• Provides proactive solutions for issues.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of TSM Administration;
- TSM Disaster Recovery in depth knowledge;;
- TSM Client installation experience, Windows, AIX, TDP;
- Knowledge of client side backups/restores and how to perform, Windows and AIX platforms.
- AIX systems administrator for at least 5 years.
- Windows system administration knowledge
- Strong understanding of IBM Pseries and LPARs.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP.
- Familiar with IBM 3584 and LTO tape technology.
- Familiar with SAN , WAN/LAN and how to configure them, including switch zoning.
EDUCATION:
* Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline. Equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree(s).
* A minimum of 5 years experience administration, maintenance, implementation and support.
